We’re told today that if we want to be SUCCESSFUL, we need something EXTRA – what’s inside us isn’t enough – but on season 4 of Everyday Greatness, Barnaby Howarth will speak to people who found success using nothing more than what had been inside them the whole time.

 

Guests on season 4 include a female Muslim Australian rules footballer, a netball coach & Order of Australia medallist, founders of inspiring foundations, school leaders, kind souls who help vulnerable people, business people, a morning radio co-host, football captains, people who use their own adversity to put goodness back into the world, some flat out good people and 2 plumbers.

Along with his wife Kathy – were dealt a hand so horrible you wouldn’t wish it on your worst enemy – they lost both of their sons at 18 – their eldest – Thomas – was king hit while out on the town and died after cracking his skull when he fell, then years later their youngest son, Stuart committed suicide after hazing rituals and bullying at school. Incredibly Ralph went on to create the “Stay Kind“ foundation which aims to encourage people to give a bit of kindness back to the world.

Ralph rarely does interviews, so Barnaby feels privileged that he has decided to come on Everyday Greatness.

When Gus Worland’s mate, Angus, committed suicide, it drove him to get Australian men to open up and be okay with being vulnerable. Gus has shown through his ABC series “Man Up” and the foundation he set up – “Gotcha4life“ – that getting out of a dark mental health battle, or helping someone else through theirs isn’t rocket science – people just need to be good mates and tell the people they care about “I gotcha“ – he believes “suicide is the death of loneliness“, so he’s trying to bring people together to support each other through chatting, catching up, grabbing a beer and doing all of those tiny things most of us think aren’t making a difference. He is showing that just NOT being a dick head is good for your health.
