Conversations with Richard Fidler

Barnaby was in his twenties at the time and captaining Sydney Football League team, Pennant Hills, after a stint with the Sydney Swans.

He was seemingly unaffected for a week after the beating, even attending footy training and playing a game.

On the eighth day, Barnaby lapsed into a coma from which his family was told he might not wake.

Barnaby’s recovery has taken nine years, but he’s since graduated from university, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and played his hundredth game of AFL

His blog can be found here.

“What Barnaby offers is unique. He isn’t a celebrity. He isn’t what you would normally expect to see on the corporate or event circuit. He speaks honestly and with credibility. I would definitely use him again as a keynote speaker or Master of Ceremonies.”
